Fishing For Heroes with Fly Fishing & Fly Tying Magazine’s 2010 UK Still Water Trout Fishing Championship

We are proud to annouce that this event is now also being sponsored by Hardy's of Alnwick, England.

In these times along with several other charities we have far more veterans needing help than we are able to help presently. We are constantly looking for people and ideas to help raise funds. This is why it was suggested that we launch the Fishing for Heroes UK Still Water Trout Fishing Championship.

The Championship will consist of 9 regional heats held around the finest still water fisheries in the UK. Anglers wishing to take part will be asked to raise a minimum of £35 for the charity as well as their ticket. The first three places will be awarded a trophy and the first two placed anglers will qualify for the Grand Final to be held at Lechlade Trout Fishery on the 21st November 2010.

The Grand Final will take place on November 21st 2010 at

Lechlade Trout Fishery

The Grand Final will be for the highest number of fish caught or in the event of a tie the heaviest total will be the deciding factor. Trophies will be given for the first 4 places, the largest fish caught and Hardy's of Alnwick, England, will also be presenting a Hardy's rod to the first four places.

The overall winner will also be awarded the Bernard Cribbins Perpetual Trophy as well as a personal trophy.
